Literature Text

This was one of the entrance exams/interviews for the Academy, the highest centre of learning in the world of Ark. Regardless of preparation, background, race or other cultural differences, it was agreed that the closely guarded entrance tests of the institution were considered 'difficult' by all attempting them.

Now we know why.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Guidelines
-These questions are directed towards an OC (original character) of your choosing, and HAVE to be answered by him/her/it ONLY with no outside or divine help from their creators.
-The OCs should be answering as they normally would.
-Take into account that this is considered to be a serious exam of which details are only revealed on the spot.
-No skipping questions.
-This doesn't necessarily have to relate to the Academy at all—just imagine that your OC understands that he/she/it stands the chance to win something really important by acing this exam/interview.
-Also, as this exam is taken 'on the spot', NO looking up of unknown words, absolutely. (This exam is designed to test every single aspect of a character, and originality and humour is as valuable here as in depth knowledge)

Ready? Now let's go.
(The exam can be conducted in any form of communication that the character can understand, even telepathy and such)

Ace Dimonde

A) What is your primary philosophy of life?

It tends to SUCK.

B) If at any point of time 't' within this week, there is at least one other applicant 'a' applying for the same position in the Academy as you, how might you express an equation pertaining to your chances 'P' of getting the position you desire? (Additional terms to consider, but by no means exhaustive, are talent 'T', motivation 'm', background 'b', etc.)

Let 'd' represent 'death'. If d->a, P=100%.

C) If you were told that cheating, or hindering other applicants for this exam were considered 'perfectly acceptable' choices, how might this affect your decisions in the immediate or near future?

Not at all. I already planned to kill everyone else, regardless of the effect it may have on myself.

D) If you are successful with this exam, you will not have the opportunity to connect with your family and friends for an extended period of time by any means—how will you deal with this situation should it come to be?

Family dead. Cut off from coven. Hate my housemates. Erik's the only major loss. I've lost mortals before—I think I'll live.

E) What mythological/fictional creature would you like to see brought into existence/revival?

Vampires. Not dumb-ass, fruit fag, ditzy, moron sparklepires. Blood-sucking, human-hunting, mortal-raping, violent, sadistic, impulsive, reckless VAMPIRES.

F) If you had to completely eliminate another species to see the previous scenario happening, what would that species be? Keep in mind that it would have to be of approximately the SAME SIZE as your choice of creature.

Humans. Huge blood stash, and the nuisance disappears. Also, no morons around to write dumb-ass sparklepire books. Hint hint.

G) Do you believe in a higher existence? Please explain your reasoning.

Yes. Elementals (incarnations of artistry). I happen to live with Annoyance incarnate and I can say first-hand that she's the biggest bitch I've ever met. One does NOT wanna piss her off.

H) You and everyone you know are on an infinitely large, ill-fated vessel that is going to be disintegrated with everyone on board, with this fate being unpreventable by any means. If you had the absolute authority, which ONE being/person would you grant the chance to escape?

Erik. Period.

I) Refer to the previous scenario. Now the fate of the vessel may be prevented with your intervention—how and what might you attempt to do?

Everyone else I know makes me want to kill myself more and more each day. If something out there wants to blow them up, they can have at it.

J) In ONE SENTENCE, with no usage of punctuation besides a single full-stop, summarize how you came to be where you are now in your world.

Some higher being seriously has it out for me.

K) Explain the 'Hyppopytaemonstrosesquipedalian Effect' in detail, suggesting how this effect might have influenced your life or the life of prominent beings, with references to external literature or personal experiences wherever possible.

Ah, of course, the Hyppopytaemonstrosesquipedalian Effect, or as it is more commonly known, the "test-writers-screw-with-whatever-poor-dumb-ass-is-taking-the-test effect". Quite hilarious, I've used it myself on many occasions, but never heard it by that name. I was shocked for maybe point-zero-zero-two seconds before I started laughing at your obvious trap. Nice try though.

L) The previous questions A to K are irrelevant to your final score in this exam. This question carries full marks. Now ask yourself a question and answer it. Take into account that the question you have created for yourself may be posed to other applicants as well to determine their final score.

Why did I just put myself through this?

My Artist is a bitch. End of story.

(For those who don't know, Ace is a half-blood vampire from a mythology-rampant dimension)

Found this on Remy's page, thought it looked fun. :) Just having a BLAST torturing poor Ace.

Ace: Guess who's gonna die tonight?

Noooooooo don't kill me!! And geez, could you tone the language down a LITTLE?

Ace: Not likely.

Oi. Well, there ya go. Enjoy Ace's silliness. I like his one sentance best. :)

Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Now, lets do this officially...

Dear Mr. Dimonde,

At the Academy, we place an emphasis on certain values. A healthy, mutual respect for others being one of them, and another being a sense of reservation and humility.
Do reflect on that.
On the basis of fair mindedness, though, I offer you the opportunity to travel on a pre-initiation learning journey with Master Telliarnd, during which we shall see if have what it takes to be a proper student of the Academy.

Ps. Our beloved Master Telliarnd is a contributor to the tome commonly referred to as the Necronomicon.

Yours Sincerely,
The Rector,
Sagen Helimotz
